Tea

Tea is one of the world's most popular beverages. It is enjoyed by the population world over. Tea is often prepared by steeping processed leaves, and buds of tea bush in hot water. Processing methods used range from natural drying, heating, to fermenation. Some herbal tea are infused with herbs, flowers and spices.

The best tea are grown in the highlands, with cool weather. Its chemical name is Camellia Senesis. Tea is rich in catechins, theanine. It has no carbohydrates, fat or protein. It also contain caffeine.

There are broadly speaking, four types of tea categories: Black, Green, Oolong, and White tea. In addition, there are flower and herbal tea, mostly deriving their names from the flower and herbal origins.There are also other infused blends and flavours to suit each and everyone's taste.

Tea can be compared to personal character. It varies according to its personality. Usually the fragrance of good tea is not aggressive; it is pleasant, low-keyed and lasting. However, tea is very sensitive to environment and it has to be stored in the right conditions. The best way to protect tea from spoiling is to store it in cool and dry place, in air tight containers. Tea when exposed to air, could be oxidized and it could lose thier benefitial properties. Tea are high in anti-oxidant EGCG, and Catechin, therefore should always be kept in air tight containers. Some tea are sensitive to light, and are best kept away from strong sunlight.

A pot of tea shared amongst friends is one of the most enjoyable pass times. With a cup of tea in hand, enjoying the green leaves in a white porcelain cup, you will feel peaceful and satisfied. Dairy pursuits and worries are no longer in one's mind when one ois ing a good cup of tea. Fame, wealth and other earthly concerns are far away.

Tea is also the symbol of elegance. Usually light on pallete, tinged with sweetness and fragrance. Good tea linger on in one memory and palletes for a long time.
