How to prepare some types of tea
Generally the hot tea is prepared in a cup, the iced tea in
a pitcher. Changes can be made on your own.
Black Tea
Hot: add boiling water to the teabag in your cup,
then cover and steep 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired
strength. Adding honey to sweeten is recommended after removing
the teabag.
Iced: pour 4 cups of boiling water over 8 tea bags
then steep 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the bags. Add sweetener
and/or lemon if desired. Then add 4 more cups of cold water.
Refrigerate and it is ready to serve!
Wellness Tea
Hot: add boiling water to the tea bag in cup and let
steep for 6 minutes. The usage of not more than 4 teabags a day
is recommended. Preferred sweetener – honey!
Iced: pour 2 cups of boiling water over 4 tea bags
and steep for 6 minutes before removing the teabags. If
desired, stir in your favorite sweetener while the tea is hot.
Add 2 cups of cold water and chill.
Herb Tea
Hot: place a tea bag in your cup and boil for 4 to 6
minutes. Sweetening with honey is recommended.
Iced: place 4 teabags in the pitcher and pour in 2
cups of boiling water. Wait for 4 to 6 minutes then remove the
teabags. Add in your desired sweetener while it is still piping
hot! Chill it with 2 cups of cold water.
Green Tea
Green tea is brewed differently from black tea because its
fresh green leaf makes a slightly astringent tea. With cooler
water and shorter brewing time, you get more delicate flavor
from the unfermented leaf.
Hot: Place one tea bag in your cup and pour in water
that is at the brink of boiling. Cover and steep 3 minutes.
Remove tea bag and add lemon and/or sweetener if desired.
Traditionally, green tea is served without milk.
Iced: Pour 2 cups of very hot water over 4 tea bags.
Steep 3 minutes then remove the bags. If desired, stir in your
favorite sweetener while the tea is hot. Chill it with 2 cups
of cold water.
Chai
Hot (Cup): fill your cup with ¾ cup of boiling water
together with one tea bag and steep for 4 to 6 minutes. For the
authentic chai taste, remove tea bag and fill mug with 1/4 cup
hot milk or dairy substitute. You may sweeten with honey or
sugar.
Hot (Pot): Use one tea bag for each 8-ounce serving
and steep teabags with 3/4 cup of boiling water per serving.
Remove teabags, add 1/4 cup of hot milk (or dairy substitute)
per serving and sweeten.
Iced: Place one tea bag in your mug and fill halfway
with boiling water hen steep for 4 to 6 minutes and sweeten.
Fill mug with cold milk or dairy substitute. Add ice for an
authentic treat!
Maté
Hot: Place one tea bag and boiling water to your mug
and let steep 4 to 6 minutes. add sweetener and milk or lemon
to according to your preferences.
Iced: pour 4 cups of boiling water over 8 tea bags
and steep 4 to 6 minutes. Remove the bags. If desired, add
sweetener and/or lemon. Then add 4 more cups of cold water.
Refrigerate and enjoy.
Using a water bottle: Add one tea bag for every 8 ounce of
cold water. Shake, wait 10 minutes, and enjoy!
