Tips and notes when serving tea in general:

1) Never serve it with cream. It is too heavy and is meant for coffee

2) Serve milk at room temperature. Cold milk will cool the tea too quickly

3) Use fresh water. If the taste of your tea is not to your liking, it may be the taste of the water that is unsatisfactory. Making a cup of tea with bottled or purified water might make a difference.

4) Heat water to the right temperature (Using either a kettle or microwave) for black or herb tea, bring the water to a rapid boil for a full, round flavour. For green tea, bring the water to boiling point. Make sure you use it immediately, as the water will cool quickly.

5) Cover your cup. This will retain the heat in the cup. Certain tea mugs have a built-in lid for practical purposes and convenience.

6) Watch the colour, not the clock. Brewing by colour will result in an imperfect cup of tea since the way they brew vary. As a guideline, brew black and green teas for 3 to 5 minutes, herb teas for 4 to 6 minutes, and 6 minutes for wellness teas.

7) Squeeze the teabag. This is because tea leaves can absorb up to seven times their weight in water and compressing the bag enhances colour and flavor. Give it a gentle squeeze before removing from the cup.

8) If stored properly, teas will keep their full flavor for many months. Teas should be kept in airtight containers in a cool dry space away from direct light and odors.
